tp new

tp new my-grpo --method nemo-rl/grpo

Creates experiments/my-grpo/ with three files:

`config.yaml`	The method template, with the keys people usually change at the top
`README.md`	Your notes on this experiment
`recipe.lock.json`	The exact recipe and framework version this experiment is pinned to

Then edit config.yaml and run tp validate.

Fork an existing experiment

tp new my-grpo-v2 --from my-grpo

Copies the config and the lock. --method is ignored when --from is given — the fork keeps the original’s method by definition.

tp new my-verl --method verl/grpo --framework-version 0.9.0

Must be a version the catalog publishes for that method. tp methods lists them.

Create an experiment

tp new <NAME> [options]

Argument	Description
`NAME`	Experiment name (required)

Option	Description
`--from`	Fork an existing experiment
`--method`, `-m`	Method identifier <framework>/<method>; defaults to nemo-rl/grpo, run `tp methods` for the full list (default `nemo-rl/grpo`)
`--framework-version`	Exact framework version; must be a version published in the recipe catalog
